Copy writing is a writing that tempts people to buy a product. Content writing is a writing that gives information to people. Creative writing is a writing that beautifies the simple sentences or words with the same meaning. Copy writing & content writing both can be creative depending upon the vision of the writer. For example X displays a board with the writing “50% off on all garments” whereas his competitor writes “Save more. Spend half.”Both the sentences are the example of copy writing but the later one is more creative than the former. Therefore creative writing makes your copy writing more effective and unique. Another example will highlight the content writing: “X is the man behind the communal riots.” whereas “X is a villain behind the communal riots” Both the sentences disseminates the same information but the later one was more catchy and attractive. People will tend to read the later information because it looks more interesting. Therefore we can conclude that creative writing has no competitors since it is the part of both copy writing as well as content writing.
Now the discussion Copy writing Vs. Content writing remains. Any piece of writing which is written to persuade a customer is copy writing. It can appear in many forms, an ad in the newspaper, script of an ad in TV, script of a jingle in radio, taglines on a display hoardings, etc. Wherever there is an intention in the writing to motivate the customer to purchase the product is copy writing. Next comes content writing. Any piece of writing that educates the customers or general public is called content writing. It appears as newsletters, journalist’s report, blogs, forums, etc. In this way we can differentiate between the two copy writing & content writing with common creative writing.
