In today’s world where everyone wants to be the first one to win and be noticed, the media also doesn’t want to stay back!
From the print media to the electronic media its journey has been tremendous and worth applause. Today with the new mediums of advertising, the electronic media has created its own platform where every organization or individual wants to advertise its product to earn the name and fame.
Television which has itself become the member of the household is the best example of electronic media. In every phase of the day it’s working with us. Whether one is watching daily soaps, movies, news, cricket commentaries or what so ever, the advertisements are everywhere. Whether we wish to see or not it comes in our way in either ways.
When we drive the car what is the first thing after we have clutched our seat belts?
Switch on the radio! yes we do this all the time and what we hear is advertisements in the form of jingles, jokes, songs etc and the r.js narrating the advertisement in a funny way or in away to attract us. And we can’t deny the fact that we even enjoy and do remember some. For example the song “mai zandu balm hui darling tere liye” it indirectly promotes the zandu balm in hilarious way. Not only the products but even movies, daily soaps, social issues etc all are advertised through the electronic media. Every upcoming movie, talk show (eg. Satyame vjayte), new soap opera all get advertised and promoted through television, transit advertisement where we see posters and banner in metro’s, adventure parks, bus stands etc, or even when we tune in radio most of the time.
What’s more surprising is that the electronic media has even occupied our leisure time even. Yes! It is true. What are our entertainment sources now? Radio, television and what we can’t forget is the INTERNET! “bore ho rha hun yaar chal facebook kar lete hain” this is what is we do exactly now. What we find on facebook including our friends? Advertisements! The jabong, ebay, shopperstop & so on. These countless names have hit the charts on internet surfing survey. We move on any site we always have advertisements moving along with us. It is fast and furious all the time.
Now if anyone questions what does not include electronic media advertising then the names would be few or say no!
Never is a day gone when we don’t see or listen advertisements no matter we step out or not! “World has become an electronic gadget which has n number of applications and we as its users!”
